GTA6 FOCUS
Privacy and cookies
How GTA6 Focus uses data related to your visits and account.
Data contact
The website’s private publisher manages its data processing. Contact for privacy requests: jazix@gta6focus.com.
Accounts and contributions
Registration requires an email address, a username and a password stored as a cryptographic derivative, never in plain text.
Usernames and comments are public. Your email is not displayed in comments. Votes are linked to your account and contribute to topic ranking.
Account, vote and comment processing is based on providing the service you request. Reading articles does not require an account.
Security
IP addresses, browser information and connection dates are processed to manage sessions, prevent abuse and protect the service, based on the legitimate interest in security.
User sessions expire after 30 days and administrator sessions after 12 hours. Older authentication attempts are purged during sign-in checks. Web logs rotate according to age and volume.
Essential cookies and language
The session and csrf_token cookies are necessary for sign-in and protection of account actions.
The browser stores the language preference as gta6-language. FR/EN pages also use the language in their URL.
Optional audience measurement
Self-hosted Umami measures visits and pages viewed. Its script loads only after your agreement. It is not intentionally sent your email, password or comment text.
Your choice is stored as gta6-analytics-consent. Change it on this page at any time. Refusing measurement does not prevent using the website. Withdrawal stops measurement on subsequent visits without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Recipients and AI summaries
The publisher and OVH hosting provider can access technical data to operate the service. Statistics are processed by the website’s Umami instance.
Public source material may be sent to OpenAI to generate FR/EN summaries. GTA6 Focus account data and user comments are not sent to that summarisation pipeline. Public source material can contain names or usernames.
Retention and your rights
Account data, contributions and votes are retained while present in the service. To request access, correction, erasure or, where applicable, restriction, objection or portability, email jazix@gta6focus.com.
You can delete your own comments from their article. For account deletion or other requests, provide the account email and describe the request, without sending a password. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or disputes.
You may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority: https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes.
